Brabant wants to help logistics companies make their business operations more efficient. One of the aims of the Logistics in Brabant programme is to reduce the number of lorries and delivery vans during rush hours. Companies with a bright idea can apply via a Marketplace.
Brabant governments, businesses and the state have joined forces for the programme. According to the parties, efficient logistics and good accessibility are prerequisites for economic growth in Brabant. With a financial contribution, the province wants to encourage companies to develop and apply products and services that reduce freight traffic during rush hours.
Logistics Marketplace
Companies that think they have a good idea can showcase their offerings on the Logistics Marketplace in Brabant. “Are you looking for more customers in the logistics hotspot that is Brabant? And are you convinced that your
product or service can help reduce freight and delivery traffic during rush hour? Then we invite you to
get started via the Logistics Marketplace”, the flyer states.
As an example, the parties cite planning systems that lead to higher load factors and fewer kilometres travelled, or innovative packaging machines that reduce the amount of air transported. Companies wishing to market their services in Brabant must submit a proposal via the CMT Solutions platform, demonstrating how the use of their product or service demonstrably leads to fewer lorries or vans on the roads during rush hour. “Logistics in Brabant aims
to complete the assessment and award of the contract within four weeks of the closing date for tenders
,” according to the leaflet.
