Returns specialist BuyBay is busy. To cope with the growing flow of return products, the company has moved into a new warehouse in Wijchen, near Nijmegen.
The warehouse is located near the current distribution centre and offers 10,000 square metres of storage space. BuyBay focuses on selling returned products. These are products that are no longer completely new because they have already been out of their packaging, for example. BuyBay optionally also handles the logistics process, from storage to distribution. The new warehouse is therefore fully equipped to receive and resell products from major online shops, brands and distributors.
BuyBay deliberately chose Wijchen. Its proximity to the current warehouse means jobs can be retained, and Wijchen is also close to the German border, allowing it to serve not only the Dutch but also the German market quickly. BuyBay previously raised an investment to enable its expansion into Germany. Meanwhile, the German market is one of BuyBay's most important markets.
Erik Bosgoed, Founder and Operational Director: "The new warehouse is not only bigger, but also smarter. It processes thousands of products from Airfryers to iPhones every day. Due to our rapid growth, this smarter layout was necessary. In addition, we implemented a new Warehouse Management System which allows us to process our products faster and more efficiently and therefore get them to a new buyer even sooner. From Wijchen, products are shipped all over Europe."
