Logistics service provider Carousel Logistics acquires BDA Logistics Innovation (BDA). With the acquisition, Carousel expands its presence in the Netherlands.
BDA Logistics, a specialist in time-critical deliveries, provides air freight services from mainland Europe to Ireland and the UK. The company operates from hubs in Maastricht, Burmingham, Frankfurt and Dublin.
4PL service provider Carousel aims to further strengthen its position in Europe with the acquisition. A milestone, Carousel calls the move, marking the largest transaction in the company's history. The deal would benefit customers of both companies. Through Carousel's technology platform Gateway, customers will have access to all available transport data from their entire supply chain. The existing air and road network will also be expanded as well as options for agile next-day parcel and pallet deliveries.
BDA will be rebranded as Carousel in the coming period. Kevin Turner will retain his position as managing director of the air cargo division. BDA's locations and account management teams remain unchanged.
