Dachser has officially had a new CEO since 1 January. Burkhard Eling, who has worked at Dachser since 2012, comes to the helm of the company. Dachser speaks of a generational change; there are several new appointments to the five-member management team.
Eling (49) was previously CFO at Dachser. The graduated industrial engineer previously worked for industrial service provider Bilfinger and at construction companies Hochtief and Philipp Holzmann. The brand-new CEO of Dachser succeeds Bernhard Simon, who in turn becomes chairman of the Supervisory Board. Michael Schilling, former COO Road Logistics, also joins the Supervisory Board.
With effect from 1 January, Dachser has therefore made further changes to its management team, with Stefan Hohm now serving as Chief Development Officer (CDO) and Alexander Tonn as COO Road Logistics. They are assisted by Robert Erni, who left DSV Panalpina in September to join Dachser, in the role of chief financial officer (CFO). Edoardo Podestà, who has acted as COO Air & Sea Logistics since October 2019, completes the five-member management team.
