Logistics service provider De Winter Logistics is acquiring de Bloementaxi, a company that transports small quantities in ornamental horticulture on demand. The company will continue to operate as an independent unit under the new owner.
De Winter Logistics provides logistics services for the ornamental horticulture sector. By acquiring De Bloementaxi, the South Holland-based company can now also offer logistics services at smaller order level. For example, growers without their own means of transport can quickly serve their customers with the taxi service.
The current owner of De Bloementaxi, William Heijl, is relinquishing his company to focus on other activities. "We did not hesitate for a moment," says Arnoud de Vries, operational director De Winter Logistics about the acquisition. "We see many opportunities in De Bloementaxi's logistics services and are happy to look at the possibilities for future expansion into our other areas of operation."
The operations of De Bloementaxi will continue as an independent unit of De Winter Logistics from 15 July. The name will be retained and current staff will also stay on.
