DHL's first city shop is a fact. The parcel delivery company has opened the doors of its first branch in Amsterdam under the name Shipping Spot. The shop can be used by businesses, retailers and individuals for sending parcels. In addition, DHL provides personal advice.

The DHL shop can be seen as a kind of post office where parcels and documents are sent. This can be done both internationally and within the national borders of the Netherlands. In addition, orders from webshops can also be collected or returned parcels can be picked up. DHL will also sell own-brand gadgets.

Expert
When sending parcels, shippers often run into regulations and customs obligations. To help customers with this, experts will be present in DHL's shop. Previously, DHL used Parcelshops. In total, the parcel delivery company has Parcelshops in 1,350 other locations across the country, which they have housed in other shops.

DHL was already operating with a shop at its Service Center in Eindhoven, a branch opened early this year. The branch in Amsterdam is the first shop that stands on its own.

Service
Through the DHL shop, the company aims to serve customers even better. The shop is open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm. At weekends, customers can visit on Saturdays until six in the evening. Customers can charge their phones, use Wi-Fi and have a cup of coffee while waiting.
