Logistics service provider Dick Vijn Logistiek is moving into a newly built distribution centre in Echt-Susteren, Limburg. To this end, it signed an agreement last week with logistics property specialist WDP.

WDP bought a 2.5-hectare plot on Businesspark ML (BPML). There, together with VDR Bouwgroep, it is building a warehouse of 14,400 square metres of floor space. Dick Vijn Logistiek is moving into the warehouse, providing employment for 20 to 40 people.

As a logistics service provider, Dick Vijn focuses on warehousing, transport and barrel washing. The 75-year-old company currently operates from Zwaagdijk, but will move to its new location in Echt 'in the near future'. The service provider currently employs around 100 people.

The location in central Limburg would be of strategic importance for Dick Vijn Logistiek, as BPML has good access and is conveniently located to the A2 and A73 motorways. "We have been operating in Limburg around and within the municipality of Echt-Susteren for three years now and our activities here are increasing every year," said Richard Vijn, owner of the family business.
