Following its takeover by international technology company Körber, Portuguese Efacec Handling Solutions will henceforth go by the name Consoveyo.
The name change of the Portuguese supplier of automated materials handling and storage systems is part of the company's integration process into the Logistic Systems division of Körber, an international technology company with nearly 12,000 employees. Apart from Logistic Systems, the group comprises the following sectors: Automation, Machine Tools, Pharma Systems, Tissue, Tobacco and Corporate Ventures.
In the Netherlands, Costo is Efacec's partner. According to Costo, customers will notice little of Körber's takeover. "We see the acquisition of Efacec mainly as a strengthening of continuity thanks to the solid basis of parent company. The products will remain innovative and effective as ever, but thanks to the broader R&D background, we look to the future with anticipation," said Rick Li-Fo-Sjoe, Commercial Manager at Costo.
