Business association Evofenedex advises entrepreneurs to take measures in the warehouse as the mercury rises above 30 degrees in large parts of the Netherlands.

The National Heat Plan has been in force since Monday for the provinces of Utrecht, Overijssel, Zuid-Holland, Gelderland, Zeeland, Noord-Brabant and Limburg. "The national heat plan means that we especially pass on the message to healthcare institutions and rural GPs that they should pay extra attention," said a spokesman for the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment.

Due to flat roofs, temperatures in warehouses and distribution centres can rise considerably. Evofenedex reminds employers that they are obliged to protect employees from health damage caused by excessive temperatures. Entrepreneurs are therefore advised to ensure adequate sun protection, good air conditioning and to deploy tropical grids in addition to sufficient water.
