Logistics service provider Bleckmann is significantly expanding the capacity of its existing distribution centre in the Amsterdam port area. The building will have a storage capacity of 40,000 square metres, double the current situation.

Bleckmann, which provides end-to-end logistics solutions for fashion and lifestyle brands, moved into the rental property over a decade ago. Due to rapidly growing logistics volumes from customers, more capacity is needed.

A large number of additional dock doors will be added to the building. Furthermore, the building will get additional mezzanine floors to double the existing floor space, allowing Bleckmann to further expand and focus its activities in the Amsterdam distribution centre on both B2B and e-commerce fulfilment.

Bleckkmann says the expansion will facilitate the growth of existing and new customers at home and abroad. The business development also provides additional employment opportunities in the Amsterdam region.
