Truck drivers about to hit the road in France should be extra alert. This is because the French authorities are going to carry out extra checks on transporting goods. The French want to check whether laws and regulations are respected by drivers on French roads.
Special mobile teams will be set up to check the roads in France. They will have to make sure everything runs smoothly. Driving and rest times in particular will be checked, but documentation and the technical condition of vehicles will also be scrutinised.
EVO
Trade association EVO therefore advises hauliers to be extra alert and check things carefully before driving on French roads. To help its members, EVO is launching a driving and rest period check to avoid surprises and possible fines.
