Logistics service provider FreightNed acquires CR Logistics from Capelle aan den IJssel. From 1 December, CR Logistics will continue under the name FreightNed Intermodal.
CR Logistics, which specialises in intermodal transport, had no room for sales due to operational pressures, while FreightNed is strongly focused on that. Within the FreightNed Group, the service provider therefore sees more opportunities for further growth in intermodal transport. In addition, it can offer customers a more versatile service package.
This also applies to FreightNed's customers. In addition to road transport, distribution, storage and handling, the company can now provide the entire intermodal package. "We already started talks with Ton (owner CR Logistics, ed.) last year, and due to the good atmosphere of this we have now been able to finalise some things," says Ronald de Rijke, general director of the FreightNed Group. "This gives us a lot of opportunities to deploy this modality immediately operationally, but also to expand it considerably towards the future."
