Frigo Group will support its logistics processes with Boltrics' warehouse management and transport management system. With this, Frigo Group - which consists of Frigo Nieuw-Vennep, Frigo Group Logistics, Frigo Group Transport and FGT Warehousing - chooses to streamline both its warehousing and transport processes with Boltrics' industry-specific software solution.

Frigo Group originally specialised in logistics activities in frozen food, but cold storage, general cargo and dry storage have also become specialities. In addition, Frigo provides conditioned transport to and from cold stores and daily delivery at home and abroad.

A needed re-implementation of the old warehouse management system gave the logistics provider the chance to broaden its horizons. Soon, Frigo Group, guided by Pearlsy Sjauw (Sjauw Consulting Management), ended up with Boltrics to explore how the WMS could support their processes. "Boltrics is a well-known name in the refrigerated freezer market," said Joost van Elderen, Frigo Group. "Thanks to extensive experience in this industry, Boltrics knows the processes in our operation and can seamlessly translate them into the right configuration in the new WMS."

Benefit from the standard
The new software solution allows Frigo Group to benefit from functionalities that have been specifically developed for cold stores and freezers worldwide. This standard can then be flexibly configured to Frigo Group's specific processes and operations without requiring customisation.

Joost van Elderen: "Thanks to the input of previous successful implementations by Boltrics in the refrigeration market, the standard functionalities seamlessly fit our needs. With this decision we say goodbye to customisation, but with these functionalities we can configure our processes entirely according to our wishes. This allows us to expand our service even further according to our own customer-oriented philosophy."

Transport activities
Besides the WMS, Frigo Group also chooses Boltrics' transport management system. "Decisive in this were again the functionalities that are standard in the software," Joost shares. "For example, we can directly use the graphic planning board, easily set up integrations with various types of on-board computers and flexibly apply information from the PTV link."

The implementation of the WMS in Nieuw-Vennep will start in September. Subsequently, the WMS at the Geldermalsen site and the TMS will also be implemented.
