Logistics service provider Gefco acquires Chronotruck, a platform that connects carriers and shippers.

Gefco, provider of supply chain solutions and specialist in automotive logistics, reports that the purchase of Chronotruck is in line with the company's strategy to deploy new technologies. "Chronotruck's expertise in digitalisation will not only help us improve the customer experience, but also reduce our environmental footprint by ensuring that trucks hit the road at full capacity," said Luc Nadal, CEO of Gefco.

Chronotruck was founded in 2016 to become a platform for companies to order shipments while reducing the number of trips without freight loads for carriers. For businesses, Chronotruck offers access to nearby carriers a portfolio of digital services, including an instant quote system, geotracking, proof of delivery and e-invoicing. The company currently operates in France but may expand to other countries under the banner of Gefco, which operates in 47 countries.
