HelloFresh is building a new distribution centre in Bleiswijk that is twice the size of its old fulfilment centre. The meal delivery company says the new distribution centre will enable it to significantly reduce delivery times.
HelloFresh is constructing the premises in collaboration with logistics service provider Leen Menken. The facility will cover an area of over twenty thousand square metres and is due to be completed in the summer of 2018. HelloFresh is expected to start delivering its first meal kits from Bleiswijk from July. “As HelloFresh’s logistics service provider, we have witnessed this growth very
closely and consciously. In a short space of time, they have grown at lightning speed
,” said Leen Menken in a press release. “There is literally even more scope for us to organise the logistics as efficiently
possible, so that HelloFresh can continue to
and serve its customers as effectively as possible.”
Faster delivery through larger loading docks
In the new DC, the meal delivery company has space for a larger and more diverse assortment. Thanks to larger loading docks, it can serve consumers faster. As the entire centre is cooled to two to four degrees, HelloFresh promises better quality products.
The building holds BREEAM – Excellent certification, the most widely used sustainability label in the construction industry worldwide.
