The warehouse of former mail order company Neckermann is under the digital hammer. It involves eight thousand metres of warehouse equipment, including reach trucks, warehouse lifts, sorting systems and storage racks.

Neckermann was declared bankrupt in 2014, leaving behind a fully automated warehouse in Sint Jansteen, Zeeland. The equipment is being offered on auction site DAAN Auctions. It is said to be a complete set-up for starting an online shop. DAAN Auctions is mainly targeting buyers from abroad in the sale, where, according to director Frank Oosterbeek, there would be a great need for solutions of such a size.

After its bankruptcy in 2014, Neckermann made a restart under the name Neckermann.com. Earlier this year, it was announced that the company will continue as a retail chain. retail chain. Before that, it took over eight Kijkshop stores in the Netherlands and five DepotPlus shops in Belgium. The shops are mainly used as service points, where consumers can collect their online orders.
