Inther Logistics Robotics (ILR) has found a second German partner for the resale of the Automated Document Applicator (ADA). The machine, which fully automatically places documents on packaging, won the Logistica Award audience prize in 2015.
ILR is launching a partnership with German company Hadem Logistiksysteme GmbH. With the partnership, ILR aims to increase coverage in the German market. In Germany, SRD Maschinenbau GmbH also provides implementation of the Automated Document Applicator. In the Netherlands, the Inther Group does so. ILR says it is leaving the implementation of the machine to partners so that it can focus on designing logistics machines.
The Automated Document Applicator (ADA) is used in packaging lines. The machine fully automatically prints, folds and attaches documents to the top or side of a box, in a 'documents enclosed' pouch. For now, the packing note and transport documents are often included in the package, but in many cases it is mandatory to have these documents visible on the outside.
In 2015, the ADA was nominated for the Logistica Award. The machine grabbed next to the award, but did emerge as the crowd favourite. In 2016, Inther and SRD sold the first ADA to distribution centre of construction market BAUHAUS in Krefeld, Germany.
