The inventory of the distribution centre of bankrupt V&D comes under the digital hammer. Auction house Troostwijk will auction the inventory of the distribution centre on 15 April. Among the products offered for sale is mainly internal transport equipment.
At issue is material from the sustainable BREEAM-certified distribution centre in Nieuwegein, which V&D leased from WDP since 2012. The equipment and systems came from SSI Schäfer, which are now being auctioned off at Troostwijk. It mainly concerns forklift trucks, reach trucks, pallet trucks, pump trucks, order pickers, stackers and pallet and shelf racks. Interested parties can come and view the items on 14 April.

V&D was declared bankrupt at the beginning of this year. Some 8,000 people lost their jobs, including the almost 500 employees in the distribution centre. In March and in April, V&D opened the doors of its stores for a few more inspections to sell the very last stocks at dumping prices. Restaurant chain La Place used the distribution centre as its headquarters. It was recently announced that supermarket chain Jumbo is taking over a large part of La Place. It is still unclear what will happen to the distribution centre.
