Royal Gazelle has switched logistics service providers. For the next five years, the company will no longer work with Royal Rotra, but with JCL Logistics.
The new logistics partner is experienced in storage and distribution of bicycles for customers such as Giant, Bikkel and Superior. Since last year, JCL Logistics has been working for Derby Cycle, one of the largest bicycle manufacturers in Europe.
"JCL Logistics has a specialised bicycle warehouse and years of experience in the distribution of (electric) bicycles. Therefore, they are a logical new partner for us," said Huub Lamers, managing director of Royal Gazelle.
Gazelle saw a sharp increase in demand for bicycles since the outbreak of the corona crisis. E-bikes in particular were in demand, and in April the company rolled out an accelerated home delivery service for bikes ordered online. The bike is delivered to the doorstep by a Gazelle dealer in the area.
