Kuehne + Nagel acquires Quick International Courier. The transport company thus expands its services in the area of time-critical transport and logistics solutions.
Quick International Courier, which generates annual sales of more than USD 200 million, is a specialist in the field of time-critical shipments. This mainly involves 'Next Flight Out' and 'Next Drive Out' shipments. These urgent shipments involve strict protocols and checkpoints.
The company operates under four brands: Sterling Aviation, QuickSTAT, Quick Healthcare and Quick Logistics, which will continue to operate independently after the acquisition.
For Kuehne + Nagel, the acquisition offers a good addition to the company's global portfolio, says board member Yngve Ruud. "This acquisition is an important milestone in the implementation of our strategy and a confirmation of our leading position in air freight.Our customers will benefit from a much wider range of services and capabilities for time-critical shipments, while Quick's customers will gain access to Kuehne + Nagel's global network in more than 100 countries."
