Leen Menken Foodservice Logistics has decided to start delivering on Sundays as well. Initially, only the Randstad area will benefit from the extra delivery day. At a later stage, the delivery area may be extended further.

With Sunday delivery, the logistics company wants to further serve its customers. In addition, the company has noticed a growing demand for extra delivery days. After a test period, where orders for meal delivery company Marley Spoon were delivered on Sundays, Leen Menken has decided to expand the service.

Last mile
Leen Menken specialises in handling chilled and frozen products.
In doing so, they focus on the fulfilment and last mile logistics of goods. Earlier, Leen Menken decided that it would offer food products not only during the day, but also in the evenings and at weekends. This increased the company's chances of meeting the end customer at the time of delivery. Menken maintains a two-hour delivery window. If that still fails, the customer is informed by the call centre.
