The first ten companies have confirmed their participation in Logistica 2017. Exhibitors include GNB Industrial Power, Nilfisk, Boplan and SSI Schäfer.
Companies have been able to register for the upcoming edition of Logistica since a week. In addition to the ten confirmed participants, some 30 more companies are under option. Robbert Kroese, Key-Account Manager Segment Logistics at the Jaarbeurs, is confident that the halls of the Jaarbeurs will fill up quickly, especially now that it has been decided to make Logistica a biennial fair. "Companies generally react positively to the change in direction. They are looking forward to an earlier contact moment with their customers." According to Kroese, there is notable interest from the packaging industry. "That can already be seen in the participation of B+Equipment and Neopost Shipping. You do notice that a packaging event (Macropak, ed.) has been dropped."
Logistica to become biennial exhibition
Logistica 2017 will take place from 28 to 30 November at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. The organisers decided to make Logistica a biennial fair due to the strong changes currently occurring in the logistics market. "Developments are happening at lightning speed and are structurally changing markets and thus supply chains," stated brand manager Martijn de Weert at the kick-off of Logistica 2017. "For buyers in these times, it is crucial to be faster and better informed about available applications." The show will last three days instead of four and the stand size per exhibitor will be capped, in order to optimise the return on participation. "We asked visitors and exhibitors what their preferences were. This showed that they were in favour of an effective three-day fair," de Weerd said. The fair will remain open daily until 7pm. "That is a bit unorthodox, but we think it can be a method to attract the right visitors at the right time."
