Macropak gone; what does it mean for Empack at the Jaarbeurs?

Many people already know that Macropak no longer exists, but that Empack will take its place at the Jaarbeurs after the takeover of Easyfairs. One more time all in a row: what will change concretely?

Last year's Empack in the Brabanthallen was dominated by the takeover of Macropak. After more than 60 years, the fair will cease to exist. The Empack thus remains and may call itself the largest packaging fair in the Benelux.

In the odd-numbered years, the Brabanthallen will remain the venue, reaching the total Dutch packaging market even better. For many exhibitors, Utrecht was the fair where larger packaging machines were shown. After intensive consultation, it was unfortunately not possible to organise Industrial Processing at the same time as Empack. To accommodate this, it was decided to have Empack Utrecht last 3 days with a longer build-up time and Food Processing was added to the programme.

Confidence
Confidence is evident from the fact that the halls of the Jaarbeurs are filling up fast. With just a few months to go, the fair is almost fully booked! Currently, 355 companies have already registered!

When questioned at the last edition, it turns out that, besides finding the right exhibitors, visitors increasingly come to gain knowledge. Topical and relevant themes will therefore be introduced at the event. Together with Easyfairs, VerpakkingsProfs will provide an interesting programme of speakers, with special focus on the topics: bio-based packaging, web retail packaging, intralogistics and packaging printing.
