Neopost Shipping has won its first customer in Britain. British outdoor retailer Internet Fusion bought two CVP-500 packing stations from the Netherlands-based company. With this, Neopost Shipping now operates in nine countries.

Neopost launched the CVP-500 in early 2016. The machine measures the dimensions of each order in 3D and folds a customised box around it. Superfluous air or padding material is thus eliminated.

Since its launch, Neopost has already sold the fully automatic packaging machine to companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany Switzerland, Japan and the United States. With online retailer Internet Fusion, Britain is now being added.

Sustainability ambition

One reason for Internet Fusion to choose the CVP-500 is the sustainability factor. "We have set ourselves the goal of being among the 1% most sustainable companies in the world in our operation" says Martin Brailsford, ceo of Internet Fusion Group. "Not because we have to, but because we want to. The CVP-500 helps us achieve that ambition. By packaging our orders sustainably, we can make a difference from the moment an order arrives."

Both machines are estimated to collectively process around 2 million orders from Internet Fusion per year.
