Belgium's Heylen Group is to build a thirteen-hectare distribution centre in Venlo. The DC will serve as a warehouse for online shops such as Bol.com and Zalando. From there, goods can be delivered directly to customers in northern Europe. The distribution centre will initially provide 750 jobs. If the venture is a success, that number will grow to 1,500 to 2,000 jobs.

Tenants
The Heylen Group hopes to start construction of the warehouse in April, so that the distribution centre can be operational by the end of 2015. The Group is the developer of the construction project itself and will still need to attract a number of tenants for the distribution centre. The company is receiving support in this from the Trade Port Noord industrial estate, the municipality of Venlo and the province of Limburg.
