AFL Group has appointed Hugo de Bie as managing director. He will be at the helm of the logistics webshops Logistiekconcurrent.nl and Logistiekdirect.be.
AFL Group is the parent company of AFL Netherlands and AFL Belgium, with headquarters and central warehouse in Venhorst and sales offices in Uden and Antwerp. With over 40 employees, the retailer serves business customers in the transport and logistics sector in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Bart and Thijs Sanders, founders of the company, see De Bie's appointment as managing director and co-shareholder as a "logical step". "Hugo knows all the ins and outs of the retail and logistics market. He has gained extensive retail experience in logistics, commerce and general management in various management and board positions at Blokker and Xenos."
Together with the team, De Bie will focus on the company's core values, say the founders. "With his expertise, we have the right man in house to shape the intended expansion. Growth in product range, expansion in omnichannel channels and further internationalisation are ambitions the company has in mind."
