Logistics service provider Nunner has acquired its Limburg counterpart Caroz, which will continue to operate as an independent division within Nunner after the acquisition.
So writes the Eindhovens Dagblad. Caroz, accounting for annual sales of 200 million euros, positions itself as a control tower specialist, or 4pl service provider. The company coordinates customers' logistics, but does not provide transport or warehousing itself. Strong growth can be seen in this segment, Erwin Cootjans, top man of Nunner Logistics told the Eindhovens Dagblad. "Thanks to the acquisition of Caroz, we are able to offer existing and new clients a completely independent solution." Besides a headquarters in Venlo, Caroz has five branches in China.
Nunner, which has headquarters in Helmond, Brabant, offers an integrated portfolio of logistics services covering the entire supply chain. In recent years, the logistics service provider has focused on freight transport between China and Amsterdam. Last year, the company opened a train connection to that end.
Caroz will continue to operate as an independent division within Nunner after the acquisition. The cooperation would mainly focus on knowledge exchange, research and development and IT development. Top executive Rudy Claessens will remain involved in the group as a minority shareholder
