Nedcon celebrates its 50th anniversary this week. The specialist in storage systems started in 1969 with a handful of employees and grew into an international player with 400 staff members.
Nedcon says it has built up a 'wealth of experience' in storage systems over the years, ranging from manual warehouse racking to an integrated approach to automated warehouse equipment. The company employs 400 people at offices in the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, France and the United States.
According to Nedcon, the world of storage systems is undergoing continuous modernisation. "Complex, automated projects now predominate in our company. Two-thirds of our business is in this niche market and it has clear growth potential," says CEO Edwin Bolwerk.
The past 50 years have also seen difficult periods. "Among other things, moving production from Doetinchem to the Czech Republic and a number of reorganisations were not easy." Since 2009, the company says it has been growing stably. Bolwerk: "We look forward to the coming years with a lot of positivity. If we keep our knowledge up to scratch and maintain the commitment of our employees, we are assured of another fifty wonderful years."
