Vos Logistics' acquisition of SNEL Shared Logistics was completed this week. The acquisition increases Vos Logistics' storage capacity to 315,000 square metres and 1,400 tractor units.
The two companies announced the planned takeover at the beginning of December. Vos Logistics from Oss aims to grow further in the field of fine-meshed distribution, warehousing and cross-docking of goods, mainly focusing on B2B, retail, e-fulfilment and home deliveries. SNEL Shared Logistics' operations were in line with this; with a 65,000-square-metre location in Woerden, the company was well positioned in the Randstad and able to efficiently supply shops, businesses and consumers. The Woerden location also offers Vos Logistics the possibility of warehousing and order fulfilment for customers.
Last weeks transaction was approved by the ACM and the works councils of both companies. Vos Logistics and SNEL Shared Logistics say they have received positive reactions from customers, staff and other parties. Peter de Vries, Director SNEL Shared Logistics: "In combination, we can grow better with our customers and take faster steps in innovation and sustainability."
