Prologis is the global market leader in real estate for logistics companies and is to develop a 36,000-square-metre distribution centre for Coolblue. The centre will be located in Tilburg on the Prologis Park. Completion will take place in the fourth quarter of this year.

Coolblue has grown into one of the largest online retailers in the Benelux in the past year and that growth is still continuing. In 2014, Coolblue already expanded on the same park where the future distribution centre is coming. At the time, it involved 25,000 square metres. In total, after the planned expansion, Coolblue has 60,000 square metres at its disposal.

Prologis is happy
Prologis says it is happy with the close collaboration it has with Coolblue. "From the beginning we have been involved we facilitating the growth of Coolblue. We work together very closely and professionally in this. By having good land propositions, we are able to continue to accompany Coolblue's expansion with, moreover, modern, a-class distribution facilities."

Coolblue sees opportunities
The managing director of Coolblue is also pleased with the cooperation and expansion. "We are in the happy circumstance that our growth continues. The ever-increasing delivery promise to customers is an important reason for this. Customers know how to find us. To grow further and continue to serve our customers well, we want to quickly scale up our existing warehouse space. Prologis can offer this and that is very important to us."
