Sanitairwinkel is fully operational in its new warehouse in 'S-Hertogenbosch. The move to the new premises was due to take place in August, usually a quiet month for the bathroom specialist. However, the corona crisis made this the busiest period in Sanitairwinkel's history.
The move and the many orders made for an extra busy month in the new warehouse. Sanitairwinkel traded its old premises in Rosmalen for a new 13,000-square-metre location at RiVu business park in 'S-Hertogenbosch. From there, customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and France are served.
Getting used to larger premises
The new location is five times larger The switch to larger premises took some getting used to, Sanitairwinkel states on its website. More metres had to be made and it took some time for everyone to find their way around. "Meanwhile, order processing is back to its old level," the company writes.
Sanitairwinkel works with its own warehouse management software, which has been upgraded for the new warehouse. That upgrade should ensure that work can be done more efficiently - even with longer distances - and delivery times are kept as short as possible.
New name Belgium and France
Sanitairwinkel also wants to continue to grow across the border with the new warehouse, especially in Belgium and France. In these countries, the company has been operating under a new name, Sawiday, since the opening of the new location.
