This year's Warehouse Day will take place on the first exhibition day of the Logistica trade fair. During this day, safety in and around the warehouse takes centre stage. Afterwards, the Safest Warehouse Award will be presented.
This twelfth edition of The Day of the Warehouse focuses on practical ideas. Participants can attend workshops and exchange experiences with colleagues. The nominees of the 2017 Safest Warehouse election will also be featured. Participating companies can receive a bronze, silver or gold rating in two categories - large warehouses and small warehouses. This rating is determined by the jury, led by René de Koster of Erasmus University, based on the score on criteria such as commitments, monitoring, workplace safety, management safety requirements and working climate. Last year, gold went to Janssen Biologics, Abbott Biologicals (small warehouses), DHL Supply Chain and Schneider Electric (large warehouses).
Registration for the Safest Warehouse year election runs until 1 June 2017. The results will be announced during the Warehouse Day. You can register for the election here.
