The ARBO OpleidingsCentrum wants to encourage owners of V&D vouchers. They can hand in their voucher at the training centre and receive a discount on their training for forklifts, aerial work platforms and reach trucks.

The training centre launched the campaign under the slogan 'Don't get lifted, do it yourself'. Due to the bankruptcy, consumers in possession of a V&D gift voucher can no longer redeem it. So there are 10 million euros worth of V&D gift vouchers in consumers' homes. They can now redeem the value of the vouchers anyway with training and safety courses. A maximum of 50 euros worth of V&D gift vouchers can be redeemed per course.

'Vouchers go straight into the bin'
The ARBO Training Centre is not planning to buy anything itself with the vouchers handed in, although it is hoping for additional registrations for the training courses. "We think it's a nice gesture to the people who are stuck with such a voucher and can no longer do anything with it," said ARBO's John van Haren, "and we will hopefully get extra enrolments because of it. Don't let V&D lift you, learn to do it yourself."

The training centre offers courses starting from 95 euros. Participants receive theory and practical lessons in one day and go home with an official certificate on successful completion. ARBO OpleidingsCentrum is said to receive around 600 trainees every month.
