Picnic has now moved into its new distribution centre in Utrecht. With a timelapse, the online supermarket gives us a look at the construction of the new building.
The new DC complements the current distribution centre in Nijkerk. With the logistics centre in Utrecht, Picnic triples its storage capacity. This is necessary, because the online supermarket wants to deliver in ten to fifteen new cities this year. The new building at Lage Weide in Utrecht has a surface area of 7,000 square metres. The online supermarket expects to employ three to four hundred new workers.
