Amazon seems to have quietly started its logistics operation in the Netherlands. Since this autumn, logistics service provider Vos Logistics has been handling goods for the e-commerce giant.
Pictures obtained by Marketingfuel show yellow Amazon signs at Vos Logistics in Oss. The goods are brought from Amazon's European warehouses to Oss, to be then forwarded to distribution centres of carriers that handle the last mile.
Crossdocking
"We do crossdocking for the Dutch market. Mainly transhipment therefore, storage isminimal," Danny Slingerland, Supervisor Forwarding & Balancing Cargo Oss at Vos Logisticsconfirms to Twinkle. "Last mile delivery from us is not an issue, or not yet."

Amazon has been offering subscription service Prime in the Netherlands since November, with Dutch consumers getting next-day delivery for 3.99. Another million products are delivered within two days.
