Vos Transport from Deventer has incorporated the bankrupt Abr. De Haan logistics just before the turn of the year. This is the second takeover by Vos Transport in a year.
Abr. De Haan Logistics from Alblasserdam was declared bankrupt in November. Vos Transport is taking over the activities, warehouse and a large part of the personnel of De Haan, the companies report in a statement. De Haan has a 16,000-square-metre warehouse, which is used for the storage of food and non-food, and offers value-added services. "With the additional services offered by the Albalsserdam-based company, De Haan is therefore a very nice addition to our company," said Jules Menheere, managing director of Vos.
Vos has branches in Deventer, Groningen and Ittervoort and manages a fleet of more than 400 units. In April 2019, the transport company took over Claessens Transport, which was declared bankrupt in March, and the activities and some staff of Claessens have since been transferred to Vos Transport in Limburg.
