There must be an end to the proliferation of rules for supplying inner cities. Industry organisations in logistics are pleading for this with the Association of Dutch Municipalities (VNG).
Detailhandel Nederland, Koninklijke Horeca Nederland, Transport en Logistiek Nederland, exofenedex and Thuiswinkel.org are today handing over a wish list to VNG, stating that municipalities should apply the same rules for supplying inner cities. This is because planners are bothered by the proliferation of rules set by municipalities.
Environmental requirements
According to the industry organisations, municipalities should also take the same measures when it comes to environmental zones. Because each municipality has different regulations regarding environmental zones, it is often unclear where certain trucks are and are not allowed to go.
