Looking for a challenge via Linkedin?

Taking on challenges is something we all do, all day long. Without challenge, there is no excitement. And excitement gives energy. As a recruiter, I surf all over Linkedin, the medium where you need to be found, especially when you are looking for a job. The thorn in every recruiter's side is the header at Linkedin, which is not used effectively by almost all job seekers.

'Looking for a fun challenge'
Why doesn't anyone get beyond the headline; Looking for a challenge? By the creative, this is still sometimes supplemented with meaningless adverbs like fun, interesting, exciting. If you have ever come across a boring challenge, please let me know.

Recruiters have (self-imposed) time pressure, screen CVs or profiles and that is really different from reading. A trigger makes them actually read. The above grey mass header, does not make a recruiter's heart beat faster. Your profile gets less visits and the challenge stays out longer than you had previously hoped, thought or expected.

Differentiate yourself
Distinguish yourself by expressing in your header, your industry, passion, field, specialism, talent or other distinguishing feature, even if you are not looking for a new job. Because say it yourself, who are you more likely to link to: "firefighter with passion for diving, available soon" or "available from 1-6-2016"? And oh yes, if you adjust that headline, then also make sure the recruiter can contact you, by either adding your email, phone number, Twitter account or whatever to your summary. This way, better contact can be made.
Thanks in advance on behalf of recruiters worldwide. And of course: good luck with your new challenge!
