This week, meet Tijs van Driel, finalist Young Logistics Talent. Van Driel has walked an unconventional path in his short career. He started in the Marines and is now co-owner and COO of Save Your Package.
Red je Pakketje operates nationwide as a same-day delivery carrier, collecting parcels from online shops until 14:30 that are delivered the same day in the evening. Red je Pakketje started with about ten drivers and some old buses. Now, more than 230 drivers in 110 buses drive for the company. It is Van Driel's tough task to keep guaranteeing quality during this exponential growth, without 'making processes too complicated'.
