Fulfilment company Active Ants acquires Brabant-based MCS Fulfilment. From 1 October, all MCS employees, premises and customers will continue under the Active Ants banner.
After Active Ants was incorporated by bpost in 2018, the company's focus was on accelerated market share expansion, and the acquisition of MCS fits within that strategy. "MCS's customers, their orders, as well as the company culture and people, all fit very well with Active Ants," said Jeroen Dekker, managing partner of Active Ants.
From Etten-Leur, MCS Fulfilment provides fulfilment services for sixty small to medium-sized web shops. The company employs around 100 people. "We have grown the company healthily and profitably and brought it to a size where we think it would be best for the company to join a larger party," said Jeroen Reedijk, managing partner of MCS. "We wanted to take the next step in automation and efficiency and can benefit from a party that is already a step ahead in this. Active Ants. We therefore look to the future with confidence."
The current directors of MCS, Jeroen Reedijk and his associate Guus Munnik, will remain as directors at Active Ants in the new composition.
