BLOM opleidingen wants to investigate how satisfied drivers of internal transport equipment are with their work. The results will be compared with the previous survey from 2015.
The forklift staff training provider is conducting an online survey of drivers until 31 October. The questions focus on safety in the warehouse, internal communication and procedures.
Comparison results 2015
BLOM Opleidingen wants to use the results from 2015 to investigate whether satisfaction has improved over the years, when it found that more than 70 per cent of forklift drivers were quite satisfied with the job they do. Among drivers on permanent contracts, that percentage was 80 per cent.
Do AGVs cause layoffs?
The satisfaction survey has been renewed in the field of automated guided vehicles (AGVs). Partly with the survey, the training provider wants to find out whether AGVs cause redundancies within the world of internal transport and whether they affect safety in the warehouse.
Safety insights
Another aspect is safety. There are 150 serious accidents involving forklifts every year. By asking employees what they encounter in their daily work, BLOM hopes to provide renewed insight to companies within internal transport.
