Who will be this year's logistics promise? The jury has announced the three finalists of the Young Logistics Talent election. The contenders are working at ChainCargo, HelloFresh and Vanderlande.
The jury nominated this year:
Giovanni Gubbels, who founded ChainCargo, a sustainable booking platform for courier services, in 2018. Through ChainCargo, companies looking to send a load can see which connected driver is available nearby and can take the shipment. The startup aims to reduce mileage by using transport that returns empty as much as possible.
Neeltje Gubbels, a Sales Engineer at Vanderlande in Veghel since 2017. In this commercial role, she designs and sells automated systems for distribution centres. In addition, Neeltje is a member of the works council and active in Young Vanderlande, a community for young professionals working at Vanderlande.
Mark Sugirtharajah, Team Lead Business Development, Supply Chain & Operations at HelloFresh. In this role, Mark leads strategic cross-functional projects. For instance, he was responsible for the redesign of HelloFresh's IT landscape. In addition, Mark leads the team responsible for forecasting, automation and optimisation of operational processes.
Final day 26 March
On 26 March, it will be announced which of these three contenders will go home with the title Young Logistics Talent. The final will take place during the knowledge and networking event Logistiek Manager van het Jaar. In a short presentation, the finalists will get the chance to convince both the jury and the audience of their qualities. The Logistic Manager of the Year will also be announced during this day.

Skilled for the Future
The theme of this edition is 'Skilled for the Future'; how can necessary changes and innovations be successfully implemented in the chain processes of today and tomorrow? With the logistics manager or professional as a starting point, 'Skilled for the future' covers various implementation examples, given by companies and peers.
The day offers relevant sessions for young and old. Where one gets tools to get started with his/her team (and put together the right team), the other gets tools to be of optimal value in such a team now and in the future.
