After company visits to the nominees, the jury of Logistic Webshop of the Year has chosen two finalists with a chance to win the title LWvhJ 2018. On 30 May, it will be announced which of the two finalists will take over from title holder Omoda.
Flinders and KPN finalists Logistic Webshop of the Year
Home furnishing shop Flinders and telecom company KPN are in with a chance of winning the title. Flinders has a range of 25,000 designer furniture, designer lamps and home accessories. Besides online shops in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, the home furnishing giant has a physical shop in Zaandam. There are also two Flinders cafés in Hilversum and Groningen. From a warehouse in Amsterdam (8,000 square metres), furniture is delivered seven days a week from stock to customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
Where Flinders stands out with furniture logistics, KPN does so with subscription delivery. "It is said that people look forward to ordering a subscription more than their birthday, so we want this moment to be as smooth and fun as possible," says KPN about the design of its customer journey. "When it comes to the ideal customer journey, we know no working hours or impossibilities."
Final day during eCommerce Live!
During the eCommerce Live! event on Wednesday 30 May at the Beurs van Berlage, the finalists will compete for the title `Logistics Webshop of the Year'. During this day, the candidates can present themselves to the public and make a final attempt to convince the jury. This year, the five-member jury is formed by Egbert Guis (de Guise), Tom van Woensel (TU Eindhoven), Paul Haagh (Vanderlande), Niels Agatz (Erasmus University) and Nick Beckers (evofenedex).
Omoda winner previous edition
In 2016, Omoda ran away with the title, when the retailer scored highly with the jury by stretching the cut-off time, offering in-store pick-up points and the ability to choose a delivery time.
