The Netherlands has slipped to sixth place in the global logistics ranking. Our country scores high on infrastructure, but is less good with international shipments and tracking & tracing.

In the biennial Logistics Perfomance Index (LPI), the World Bank rates 167 countries. They are rated on customs, infrastructure, international shipments, logistics quality, tracking & tracing and punctuality.

The Netherlands still managed to rank second in 2014, just below Germany. While Germany has remained the leader, the Netherlands is sinking further and further down the rankings.

Striking is the rise of neighbouring Belgium to third pitch. Our southern neighbours score high on international shipments, logistics quality and punctuality.
