Salesupply has opened a new logistics site in Poland's Zielona Góra, on the country's western border. The Dutch e-commerce company, which focuses on cross-border logistics, aims to make online sales in Poland more attractive for customers through local shipments.

From the new logistics hub, Salesupply offers retailers the possibility of faster shipping to Poland, at lower shipping costs. "By shipping products locally in Poland, it quickly saves around 4 to 6 euros per parcel and, on top of that, it is delivered the next day," says Ludo Verlinden, Global Business Development Manager at Salesupply. "With the opening of this new hub, delivery in Poland and nearby countries will again become a lot cheaper and more pleasant. Think Czech Republic, but also Berlin which is just over two hours away from the warehouse."

Paying at the door

What is different about Poland is that a lot of it is still paid for by Cash on Delivery; payment is only made when the parcel is delivered, which was the chosen payment method for almost half of online orders in 2018. When the new fulfilment site opens, Salesupply will also offer Cash on Delivery as a payment method.

In addition to a location in Poland, Salesupply has logistics hubs in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy the United States, the United Kingdom and China.
